Each of my works exists in its own space, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect. My art bridges Western abstraction with the quiet depth of Japanese aesthetics. Within my work, contrasts converge — movement and stillness, intuition and clarity, expression and restraint.

About the Artist

„Art is my dialogue with the contradictions of the world.“

Dima Riva’s work explores the tension between structure and intuition, combining raw texture with precise composition. Each piece investigates presence — not only as an artwork, but as a spatial experience. Influenced by the Japanese concept of Ma — the space between — her works exist in dialogue with light, scale, and architecture. Rather than simply occupying space, the paintings interact with their environment, shifting with the viewer’s perception.

Her practice moves between intimacy and scale, from limited editions to large-format paintings, all connected by an ongoing exploration of how minimal visual language can create depth, tension, and resonance within space.
